Description
Loquats are fruits with a sweet and slightly tangy flavor, belonging to the Rosaceae family. They have a round or slightly oval shape, with a thin orange or yellow skin and a juicy, soft pulp that surrounds several large, dark, and inedible seeds.
Rich in water, fiber, and natural sugars, loquats are refreshing and easily digestible fruits. They contain vitamin A, vitamin C, and minerals such as potassium and calcium.
They can be enjoyed fresh, simply peeled, or used to make jams, compotes, and desserts. They are also excellent in fruit salads or paired with fresh cheeses for a contrast of flavors.
